FEYNLAB MATTE CERAMIC

£98.95

FEYNLAB® MATTE CERAMIC is a protective ceramic nano coating engineered for extreme durability & protection for matte painted, vinyl, and PPF automotive surfaces. As an ultra-high solids coating, MATTE CERAMIC adds intense U.V. & heat protection, chemical resistance, and increased protection from the light ‘love marks’ of proper washing.

Typically, high solids coatings are difficult to install on matte surfaces. FEYNLAB engineered MATTE CERAMIC for both robust protection and hydrophobic ability. The end result is a product that performs, lasts, and makes vehicle maintenance a pleasurable experience.

PRODUCT BENEFITS

  • FEYNLAB® MATTE CERAMIC is a thick, durable, and high-solids professional nano coating with straightforward application.
  • Certified installers may offer MATTE CERAMIC at a competitive market price while equaling or surpassing other brands in terms of durability and performance.
  • A protective high solids coating with efficient application on hard to coat matte surfaces was key to MATTE CERAMIC development. This innovation quickly distinguished it from the competition.
  • Impressive properties include excellent heat resistance, industry leading UV, and chemical resistance.
  • FEYNLAB’s® true nano technology and bonding chemistry allows for an unparalleled level of protection. The formula penetrates further into the existing paint structure, vinyl, or PPF than most available coatings.

Durability, Warranty & Specs

Included

FEYNLAB® MATTE CERAMIC – 30 ml (sufficient to coat one mid-sized vehicle) & one microfiber applicator sponge

Cautions

Always wear respirator & gloves during application. Ensure application area is free of loose contamination.

Surface Preparation

Evaluate the surfaces, and prep the vehicle as needed. Steps include thoroughly cleaning vehicle surfaces using either FEYNLAB® PURE WASH or PURE RINSELESS.

A topical clay treatment using FEYNLAB® PRIME may be needed if the surface feels contaminated. If necessary, use a ferrous iron removal product to remove all embedded iron deposits.

Before coating, use Panel Prep to fully remove all remaining contamination from surfaces. After Panel Prep, wait at least 10min before coating application.

Directions

Prior to application place vehicle in a well-lit, temperature-controlled 10°C-30°C (50°F-85°F), & contamination free environment. Make sure you have plenty (4 or more) new microfiber towels, 1 or 2 microfiber sponge applicators, and plenty of lighting.

Begin shaking FEYNLAB® MATTE CERAMIC vigorously for 2 minutes. Open the cap and allow the product to breathe for 1 minute before shaking again for 1 minute. During application, shake frequently as well to avoid the matting agent from settling out of the solution.

Coating Application

Apply enough FEYNLAB® MATTE CERAMIC to a microfiber sponge applicator to fully cover a single panel such as a door or half a hood. Begin by making a “+” (plus) sign in the middle of the panel and follow that with a picture frame around the area you are coating. This helps with even distribution of the product. Now fill in the remaining panel in straight lines from left to right and then cross-hatch up and down making sure to create a level layer with even coverage.

After filling in the panel, step back and look for any runs, drips, or heavy spots. If any are found, smooth out evenly with your applicator sponge. This will ensure even drying across the panel and minimize excess product usage.

Allow FEYNLAB® MATTE CERAMIC to sit on the panel until it is about 75-85% dry. This could be anywhere from 2-10 minutes depending on humidity and temperature. You can test this by lightly swiping the panel with your gloved finger and looking for moisture transfer to the adjacent uncoated panel. If the coating is not easily transferred to the uncoated panel, you are ready for the next step.

After you determine the optimal time for the coating to dry 75-85% on one panel, you can then determine how many panels of the vehicle you can coat at once before moving onto the leveling/buffing stage below on those panels. Take care not to apply to too many panels at once without proceeding to the leveling/buffing stage as this will make the leveling/buffing stage more difficult as the coating will have dried too much.

 Coating Removal Process

Once the panel(s) have dried about 75-85%, take a clean microfiber towel and begin leveling the product and removing the remaining 20-25% of the unevaporated carrier fluids. Begin this process in the same order of application on each panel.

Use two (2) new microfiber towels.

Towel A (left hand) will remove (level) the majority of the coating. With minimal pressure, gently wipe the surface to a clear finish. Minimal effort should be required.

Towel B (right hand acts as the secondary (Residue) towel, removing any leftover coating residue, revealing a clear surface.

Inspect

Be sure to carefully inspect your finished panel before moving on to the rest of the car. Check all of your edges, emblems, and other tight spaces for any remaining product. Product is much easier to remove if you catch it within 20 – 30 minutes.

Repeat

Repeat the Coating and Leveling/Buffing steps, moving panel by panel (multiple panels if environmental conditions allow) until the entire car is coated. Be sure to briefly shake each step before use and quickly recap when not in use. Switch to clean towels when necessary and flip to a clean side of your applicator if the applicator begins to harden or picks up any surface contaminants.

Layering

Although one layer of FEYNLAB® MATTE CERAMIC is sufficient to achieve the expected durability, another coat can be applied to any area where you desire additional protection (such as the hood or front bumper). After buffing one-layer clear, additional layers can be applied no less than 30 minutes after the previous layer and no longer than four hours after the previous layer.

Post Application Instructions

Avoid any incidental water exposure for 24 hours

Avoid all chemicals including car washes for 7 days

Wash & Maintain using FEYNLAB™ WASH or FEYNLAB™ RINSELESS PREMIUM and FEYNLAB™ DETAILER
